About Oceans Apart
Oceans Apart is operated by Wavy Clique Entertainment LLC. It provides a shared space for two adults. This policy describes the information used to operate your account and the features you choose. Updated September 10, 2026.
Information you provide
We process your sign-in email, account and profile details, relationship membership, preferences, and any location or time zone you enter. Shared content can include messages, photos, voice recordings, answers, moods, support requests, notes, memories, dates, and optional intimate content. You control what you submit; do not upload content you lack permission to share.
Device and payment information
If you enable supported device features, we process permission choices and push notification tokens. Our hosting and authentication services process operational information such as network requests, errors, and device or browser information. Payment providers process purchases; the app uses subscription identifiers, status, and expiry to determine access. Do not send card details or passwords to support.
How information is used
Information is used to sign you in, connect your chosen partner, display and synchronize your content, deliver requested notifications, manage access and purchases, handle support and deletion requests, and protect the service. Optional intimate features require separate consent from each partner; either partner can withdraw it.
Who can access information
Your shared content is intended for your current relationship space. The operator and service providers may process it to host, support, secure, or administer the service and to meet applicable obligations. Base44 provides application hosting, authentication, and data services. Apple and Stripe process purchases where those payment methods are supported; device notification services process notification delivery. Your partner can save, copy, photograph, or otherwise retain content they receive.
Security and view-once content
The app uses authenticated access controls and time-limited links for supported private media. It is not an end-to-end encrypted messenger. An optional app PIN is a screen privacy control, not content encryption. View-once limits opening through the app; it cannot prevent screenshots, cameras, copies, or retention outside the app.
Account deletion and retention
You can start account deletion in Account and support, including before joining a relationship. The app shows the request status and closes access while processing. Deletion covers your account and content attributable to you; your partner’s independently authored content may remain. Provider records, stored files, backups, and required transaction records can follow separate retention and deletion processes. Base44 documents a 30-day recovery period for deleted database records. A pending or waiting status does not mean erasure is complete. Contact support if you need an update or help identifying your content.
Your choices
You may edit supported profile and content fields, change notification permissions in your device settings, withdraw After Dark consent, or request account deletion. Cancel an active subscription with its payment provider separately; deleting an account does not itself confirm cancellation.
